The couple live in Dubai, and most guests were flying in from the region. Weeks before the date the situation in the Middle East changed, and it became clear not everyone would make it. About a third of those invited arrived.
The bride was worried — anyone would be, after a year of preparation. Then something unexpected happened: the atmosphere held. The wedding simply became smaller and warmer.
The day had another twist. Sasha is an opera singer, and many guests were musicians and performers. Instead of a classic running order it became a genuine creative evening: guests prepared surprise numbers and took the stage with the couple.
